Just saw this on Burnt Toast's website - "Lots of ongoing work for the re-issue of Starflyer 59′s Gold on vinyl in 2011"  Probably a few weeks old already but still - very exciting!  Does anyone know any details about what it's going to include?

Rumor is that it will include the gold album on vinyl.

The record will be made of gold, so you must have a special diamond laser player in order to play it.

Yes. I heard that they are flying in King Midas to make this all happen...

The artwork from Gold. Labels, band pic, etc. Lyrics would be nice too.

The Le Vainqueur tracks, of course, and maybe some live tracks from that era, too. No picture discs, please.

If there is a DVD I'd like to be able to buy that without a record.

I totally second that. I mean, what would it be? The original cover art, like the "old" picture disc?

A DVD of live show(s) from that era would be great.

And while it was kind of done with Ghosts of the Future, a series of 7"s with the fake LP art from Gold, one track per side, would be really cool.

Exciting thoughts! Nice to see this post finally going the direction I originally intended. I'd love to see the original artwork. Those things blown up along with pictures of their touring during that time would be awesome. Or maybe some stories behind the songs.

I know Jason might not spring for the idea, but I second the idea of a write up about the tour, the album, or the songs. That would be fantastic. If there are any photos of the recording process or the tour, even better. And put it all in a full-size booklet. With regards to the music itself, definitely throw in Le Vainquer and Plugged. Perhaps this could be a box-set or something if it gets to that point.
