I have used Audacity in the past to fix some skips - as long as they are actual gaps in the song. I just open up the song where the skip is and zoom in as close as I can, highlight the flat line, and hit delete.

I've never used Audacity, though I have the program.  I got this tune from mp3.com about 10 years ago.  I hope to fix it.
