damn for $250 I am tempted to sell mine.  Also if we are pricing Test presses this high I might ask $1000 for my LHAS test.

Not here. I've always been a big fan of collecting things related to my favorite bands. Call me a hoarder, but when I'm able to, I buy everything I can.

...for $250 I am tempted to sell mine...
never quite understood the idea that what something's listed for equals the price/value of the item. wonder if anyone will actually pay that much for it...

But when most SF59 fans see a similar price for "The Drop", they don't bat an eye. Yet, I bet this is more rare than "The Drop" is.

I'd only find them of value if I were, for some reason, interested in following the work of the plant that produced the record.

Or if the test result was actually a bad record. Those are always automatically of value. Tongue

The only reason for collecting the test presses is because you have run out of all other Starflyer items to collect =(

That's apples and oranges to me.  The Drop is actually it's own release (be it a 7"/EP) ... a test press is, well, just a test press of a proper album that we all already own.  Even as big of a vinyl hound as I am, I have no interest in paying for a non-cheap test press.

these were sold for $35 and took months to sell out. i have one. i can't imagine it selling for more than $50. $250 is hilarious. why would you want to take advantage of another fan like that? if you paid a ton of money for it, you were taken advantage of.

agree completely. if the music on the test press was different (say, had different tracks) than the actual album, and you couldn't get those tracks anywhere else, then maybe it's worth more money. but it's the same thing you can get for like $15-20 bucks if you insist on vinyl. $250 is crazy. does the drop even go for that much?
