What did you decide on the band name? I think the other day Bandcamp said "Katie Dooley, Josh Dooley" but now it says Map. I dig the drum vibe for "Their Way Out," is that Perez's work?
Anyway I really want to donate some money for this soon...

After giving the album another listen today, I'm struck by how, in some of the songs, Katie's voice really seems to be just another instrument rather than the focus of the song; more so than any prior Map vocal tracks I can recall. Sort of like post-rock. Except I'm not normally a fan of that genre, while I'm definitely a fan of this.

Thanks, What to call this was the hardest part for us. Map is a name/brand I have been working hard to promote for 10+ years and I was afraid that fans would be bummed to hear a girls voice. Close friends and former band members were saying I should call it Katie Dooley, Josh Dooley. Once we put it out we thought "Hey Heather from Kissing cousins was in Map on lead vocals, Katie Dooley sang on Easy Ride off of speechless. As far as I am concerned this is my next record. Oh if only I had a marketing and PR firm to tell me what to do??

Oh and yes that is Mike Perez on Their way out and Sit beside me. He is the sound behind the Bon Voyage record Lies as well as the Map song Crime Theory. Trevor Monks played real drums on the last two songs Secrets by the highway and Houses and spouses.

I think you should totally stick with "Map."
Like you said, you've put a lot of time, effort, etc. into building that name, so why start over now? Lot's of "bands" have continued on under a band name when only one member remains (ahem, SF59). If that person is the driving creative force behind the music, I don't think anyone minds a revolving door of supporting musicians.
