I don't have the video, but I've got mp3s someone ripped from that video.

re: shoegaze

Recently VIMTV reviewed MBV's Loveless and it made me think of the earlier SF albums I'm not as familiar with.

I wondered if Jason has ever mention shoegazing bands that influenced him?

I've heard of Loveless for years, but have put off getting it because I had a feeling that once I did the rumored special edition would come out.

Wasn't Jason very vocal on denouncing the MBV comparisons?

I don't recall Jason ever denouncing it. But he did generally reply to MBV comparisons with something along the lines of "We're not nearly as brilliant as they were."

Maybe you're thinking of J. Edward Keyes. In his Sf59 biography from the Easy Come, Easy Go liner notes, he insisted that Sf59 sounds nothing like MBV, and confessed that the comparison just ticks him off.

Love this song - one of my favorites off of Silver. I like the Live version a bit better. This one is more straightforward (imo) then many of the other songs off of Silver.

I think I found what was talked about in the Pop Matters interview in regards to MBV. He basically said there shouldn't be any comparison because MBV made great records and he didn't. I would quote it if I wasn't on a phone.

After listening to She's The Queen I always wished there were more Starflyer remixes of songs. Granted there were a few with Dial M but I think there could've been some other really interesting remixes. Especially with Ronnie doing them.

Modern Ronnie remixing Modern Jason would definitely be worth hearing.
