I hate eating. I eat just enough to stay alive, and no more. But I can understand the appeal.

Eating is great. You might say it's habit-forming.

I was thinking of posting the audio of the David Bazan interviews I did. Is anyone interested in hearing those?

I'm Nathan and I'm from southern Illinois, just east of St. Louis. Like lots of people on this forum, I became aware of SF59 via Tooth & Nail Records ads in various CCM magazines. The first album I bought was Gold in '95 and I quickly raided every Christian Book Store in a 50 mile radius and came up with Silver, She's The Queen, and shortly after, Le Vainqueuer. Words can't tell how much I wore those CD's out, and just about any other T&N disc I could get my hands on at the time. (T&N isn't what it used to be, but that's for another time...) My SF59 collection is one of only a few "untouchables" that have survived in my CD collection from that era. I will NEVER part with them. Jason Martin is at least partly responsible for getting me through the throes of adolescence. Very, very fond memories.

Greetings fellow SF59 fans!
I'll go by balzerco. I've been an SF59 fan since shortly after Gold. I own most of the SF59 catalog except for the vinyls and some live cds. I grew up in the Midwest, but I'm currently living on the East coast. Got bored at work and stumbled onto this site via the wonders of wikipedia. I'm slightly shocked that a site like this would avoid my radar for so long (almost started my own SF59 page back in college). Cheers.

Welcome! Actually, we've only been around since last May, so it's not like it's been years and years.

Welcome! There should be a SF59 page with up-to-date stuff on it. The official website is just a fancy way of saying, "go to our myspace". I'd like to see a site with links, interviews, pictures, bio and lyrics...etc..that is current and updated.

I totally agree. This new trend of bands only using myspace for their website is very annoying. I dislike myspace greatly. I don't need to know that ~~!Dude!~~ thinks you're so awesome and needs you to check out his band. Plus most of the myspace pages are so badly laid out, it's hard to even find out if there is new information. I understand why bands do it since it's way easier and cheaper to upkeep, but it doesn't have much benefit to the fans. /rant I had grand ideas for a SF59 fan page, but my goals outweighed my motivation. So I never got past the idea phase. Plus I didn't want to deliver a half-hearted effort to the SF59 fan community.

We could probably eventually turn this web space into a good fansite. We just need to get together some people with the time, information, and effort to put it together and to keep it current.
It's definitely hard when there are three or four different locations giving you new info on the band, such as the group's MySpace for general band updates, and Burnt Toast Vinyl for the box set updates, etc.

Yeah. We just need to clone you, Meta, and Greeny a couple of times and we'll be set.
