Hello. My name is Brad. I've moved a lot but I'm currently in Georgia.

I discovered Starflyer through Tooth&Nail Records. At the time, I thought T&N was the coolest thing outside Five Iron Frenzy (my, what a difference four years makes).

P.S. Skittles rule.

Welcome! Yes, I could use some of those right now, or Skittles, or (thanks to a mention on another forum I'm on), some creme-filled chocolate-covered doughnuts. Smiley

hi i'm thom and i am a writer, i have done a few interviews with jason martin that were on buzzgrinder.com and dallas music guide, i have been into starflyer since 1993, their music means so much to me, my favorite album is gold or americana, i like them all but really dig the heavy guitar stuff such as on silver, gold, americana etc. fashion focus is also great.  i like peanut m&ms

i like to write letters and write two or three short stories a week or poems, i am currently listening to tvvssv

Hey, I'm Cameron, and I'm from the Great White North (Canada).  I (sort of) got into SF because of my brother, although he's five years older than me and he'd play Gold and Silver when they first came out and I thought it was just noise, as I was more into Collective Soul and the Newsboys at the time.  I was really intrigued by the liner art, though, especially the fake lps in Gold, and the fact that it appeared to be only one or two guys in the band.  Fashion Focus came out and the band suddenly sounded more like I envisioned they would due to the art and band name (this is after having refined my tastes a bit, also), and I borrowed a copy from a friend.  My life hasn't been the same since.  Jason and Ronnie Martin are definitely my two favourite rock idols of all time.

I'm actually in a band myself and have had the intense pleasure of having Ronnie do a JE remix of one of our songs and, most recently, Jason agreed to play a guitar part on one of the songs on our new album, which will be released 09/18/07.  The JE remix is of a song called Crystal Tears (I think you can get it on iTunes still), and the track off the new record is called "Go" (it was on our first record, but redid it with JM's guitars for the new disc), and so far it's not available.  The band name is Bella.

Kudos to the creator of this site.  The Bros. Martin are definitely deserving of their own fan forum.

Hey, I'm Cameron, and I'm from the Great White North (Canada).

Welcome!

Myspace? Web site?

Thanks! I have to agree...which is why I set it up. Grin Joy Electric already has their own community, but I wanted to have a place where we could talk about TBM and SF59 without people griping about getting 'off-topic'. Besides, music forums are just fun. I administrate two and participate in three others. Smiley

Sometimes I kick myself, because the money I could have spent on Ghosts of the Future, I used to set up this forum and the Travelogue forum. After seeing how both forums are starting to grow up nicely, I can see that it was a good sacrifice. I might not be able to get my hands on some tasty colored SF59 vinyl any time soon (or ever), but at least I've made some good friends along the way.

And if anyone wants to donate towards the 'buy Ghosts for Stephen' fund, just let me know. Wink

p.s. You didn't mention what color M&M is your favorite. Wink
