1. Would you ever consider re-recording some of your old stuff (eg: Gold and Silver)?
1. No, I don't really think their would be a point in that...Couple of reasons:
1. On the first album I was really into some odd guitar tunings, and I would have no way to remember them, so on a couple of songs I would have a hard time trying to play them.
2. Also, as the expression goes, you can never go back home...So for better or worse those albums are what they are.
2. Will you ever record an acoustic album OR release an album with acoustic versions of previously released songs?
2. Just finished the new record last week and there actually is alot of acoustic guitar on it...I wouldn't say it is an "acoustic" album, but I did go to the acoustic alot more than I went to the electric for this new one.
3. Will you ever return to your shoegazer roots?
3. I never knew I left them

To me we have always kinda been doing the same thing we started off doing, just some different instrumentation...But ya, I doubt we will put out an album that sounds like gold.
4 - 6. Why were "Never Had One" / "Never Had a Name" and the original version of "Your Company" left off of Easy Come, Easy Go? What is the story behind those two songs (like "demo intended for.." etc)? What is the official name of the first song: "Never Had One" or "Never Had a Name"?
4. You know, I didn't know they had different names...When we put together Easy Come, Easy Go I must have thought it was the other name and put that down instead. As far as the first version of Your Company the only master to that was on a 1/2 reel of tape, which could not be found...So to make the master off of the 7" wouldn't have sounded too good, so we left it off.
7. Will you please consider posting the lyrics for Bon Voyage's The Right Amount album somewhere for us, if you have them?
7. You know, I don't even own a copy of that record....we'll see what we can do.
8. ocean rain vs. the queen is dead?
8. Although I love both, my vote would be for The Queen is Dead.
9. where is the first SF59 demotape? do you intend to release it as a promo cd or a gift for fans?
9. I don't have a copy of that, although I wish I did...Even so, not sure I would release it...if I remember correctly I don't think it exactly sounded too good.
10. as Teenage Fanclub (Bandwagonesque) and Sonic Youth (Daydream Nation) did during last two years (I guess), are there any possibility of SF 59 doing some concerts playing just Silver or Gold materials?
10. Probably not...To me that seems like another lifetime ago. I was 20 and 21 when those records came out, and the few times a year now that we play shows I doubt we would spend the time learning those records.
11. You've been able to work with a lot of different musicians in the past; is there anyone you would like to work with that you haven't already?
12. I would love to have John Leckie produce a Starflyer record....probably will never happen, but you did say anyone...Thanks for the interview.
