I just got it - listened to it a few times. Love it - no fillers to me. Another solid effort from the Martins.

So I'm gathering that the general opinion is not favorable? Worth buying or not?
Totally worth buying. This album is excellent, dark, fun, beautiful. Lots of highlights. I can see how "Bad Dream" might be considered 'filler' as it is basically a "Monster" remix, but I think it is a good addition to the album. Love this album.

I loved the samples I listened to at FYE. They did not have it in store though.

I don't regret buying it a bit. There's two songs I don't care for ("Don't Lie" and "Best Friend") but the rest of the album is good enough to make up for it. Even the instrumental tracks and "Bad Dream" (which is every bit as good as the original version). "The Good Life" and "Wake Up, Make Up" are just amazing.

I like "Bad Dream", too. I think it could have made more people happy if it was just stuck at the end and treated as a "bonus" track, because that is really more of what it is. But still fun to listen to.
BUT this album is different from the first two, so I don't blame people for not liking it. I like personally, however.

I finally bought this. I have a few comments for the squabblers (and I mean it all lightheartedly).
1. Jason Martin's instrumental Bon Voyage tracks are great. And they're short. So? 2. "Bad Dream" might even be better than "Monster," on first listen. Who cares they share the same vocals? Except for that, it's an entirely new song. 3. Everything else is awesome. 4. Yes, I might really just explode.
(The opening of "Don't Lie" sounds a tiny bit like Ronnie's new song "Rudimentary Animation." Hear it?)

How is everyone's opinion on Lies now? I'm not too familiar with BV's music, but I keep seeing 2 copies of Lies new at discount price. I think around $5 or $6.

Bon Voyage's first two were dream pop; this one is synth pop. Stylistic differences aside, I think Lies is just as good as BV's first two.
