But yeah, some people do get emotional about them just not 'sounding-good'. Well, we hear what we say through our inner-ear, so however good you may be at singing, still gotta adjust to the outer-ear sound: what the mic hears. Yup, all the little practice you got to develop your voice, sounds different really, sad maybe, but true.
Vocals are as an instrument which you need practice with to play the right tunes. The difference is, a voice are more free, so you also have to learn to make the notes and keep them.
Practice, practice, practice.

This is good. I need to print it out, frame it, and post it on my wall as a reminder. Thank you.

Now if I can get a decent microphone...
