a hot toddy
Man, I always thought that song had some weird lyrics...the above being one of them. However, I looked it up and now it doesn't seem so strange: Hot toddy is a name given to a mixed drink that is served hot. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_toddyThat actually makes a lot of sense being that Mark Salomon is a bartender.

Yeah.. Neon Horse is very much like it's image, especially everything Mark does in the band. I also like it a lot for it's dark approach to music. If you don't knwo what I mean, listen to song "Little Lamb".

'Little Lamb' and 'Merciless Mother' are both creepy songs, IMO, but creepy in a good way. It's a very dark album, but I enjoy it...and am still scouring our house for the CD wallet it was in.

Yeah that's what I meant, their style has a dark approach, but no part of it is really dark or anything close to that.

Is there any evidence that Jason Martin is envolved in Neon Horse or is it just a rumor that colides with the fact the guitar sounds like his style (plus the synth on Merciless Mother)?

Plus SF59's 'Wake Up Early' is exactly like a Neon Horse song except without Mark Salomon.

Someone updated the Wikipedia page for Neon Horse with the band members.
Mark Salomon (no surprise) Jason Martin (no surprise) Steven Dail (surprise)

I always kind of knew that Jason Martin was the guitar player. It just sounds like his style, especaily on the song "merciless mother".

Hmm, I just noticed that the wiki needs to be updated. Looks like we have all but forgotten about Neon Horse...

pretty much teh first song i heard (T&N podcast march 2007), the first melodies i knew, without hesitation, it was mark and jason. i dont care what anyone says, i dont care if they denied it to the grave. their liars and its them. lol. but it looks likes we've had some more evidence since then over the last 2 years, and have confirmed more. now as far as synth... could be jason. could be ronnie. could be rob witham or whoever as far as we know. BUT. heres teh but.... anyone ever seen Joy E live? you know his voice right? listen to Nice For You from the s/t LP. the "hey man..." "yeah?" "i've got nothin'" if that ain't ronnie talking on the song, then i'm pope john paul in the flesh. but in march when ebel first premiered the horse, i immediately sent SF59 a letter, and asked if it was jason. (now this was before all the accusations really started, they werent as defensive on the identity") and Dooley wrote back and said "i'm not at full liberty to disclose that information, so all i can say is good ears "
