Mmm.. I don't knoe if that's enough... You can easily get a $1,000 estemate from Leif's for a simple scratch on a bumper..  Then again, if the car is worth less than 3, maybe not.

There's a deductible, so they took that out of the money they paid out. You can't fix the doors properly for $3,000 without a good amount of effort. But I wouldn't bother because I would never get the money out of the car if I repaired it.

It's actually worked out okay. I got $3,000 for the dent, which is more than I paid for the car, and I got to keep the car.

Whoa, I missed the part where it was about you! I thought you were just pulling up a random video. Wow, that's crazy!

Yeah, I called the news station and left a classic voicemail message about how I was almost killed.

Ooh, you should've recorded it! You can do a dramatic re-enactment, the more dramatic the better. Smiley

Yay! I like it. You know, you could have almost DIED. Smiley

I love that: 'You need to get your TV cameras down here...' I should try that myself sometime. Grin

The "almost died" part is what always hooks the news stations every time.

If I were to do it again, I would record the message before leaving it on the voicemail. That way it would be so completely over the top.

Every time? So you've done this before? Grin
