Starflyer 2000 (Jason & Leigh Nash, they recorded "Leigh and Me" then broke up)
Bon Voyage
Enemy Ships (fka The Emergency)
Pony Express
The Brothers Martin
Neon Horse

Jason was also in Dance House Children, but that was before Starflyer so it's not a side project.

There was a project with Terry Taylor. I can't remember the name of it but Terry put out 3 of the songs on one of his rare cds called Random Acts of Hodgepodge. The three songs were called Satellite Moon, Prayer Warrior, Welcome to the Real World

The project was called Starter Set.  Here is what the notes from Random Acts & Hodgepodge said: "Tracks 1-2: Starter Set, featuring Terry Scott Taylor and Jason Martin (of Starflyer 59 fame) was a brilliant, but short lived and ill fated experiment designed to attract industry attention.  Haven't we used that line before?  Well, once again, it's true.  And, truth is always stranger than fiction.  Here are the unreleased demos you won't hear anywhere else."

There were 2 songs on there, "Satellite Moon" and "Prayer Warrior".  "Welcome to the Real World" was listed as a demo by Terry Scott Taylor for BMG Records.  Here they are if you are interested:

starter set demos.zip - 67.78MB

From what I understand, Random Acts & Hodgepodge is way out of print and impossible to buy.

That's an interesting story. It's not often you hear such honesty: 'this was done to attract industry attention'. Smiley

I can get it ripped to mp3 and share it here later when I get the chance.  I think there are only about 7-8 songs on the disc, mostly Terry Taylor demos.

Jason has contributed to a lot of material; off the top of my head:

1. lead guitar on some Upside Down Room
2. harmonica and maybe guitar on Jupiter James
3. some guitar on the Steve Hindalong "skinny" cd

im trying to think what else he has worked on or has produced/engineered....hmmm

also, you can supposedly buy the terry taylor "random acts and hodgepodge" cd from terry taylors website, however i sent $13 last october (2008) and still have not received it. ive complained and was told they're printed on a demand basis or something.  maybe someday i'll get a reissued copy...
