Yeah, first time I heard it I thought they were trying to copy SF59 too much.  Turns out the whole album brings it's own little sound in it.
SF59 is pretty in general, alot of different stuff in an album, and The Dark Romantics is more specific to their own little thing.

It sort of makes me dought another album will be made by them.  But that would just be weird.

I prefer 'minimalist'. Kind of like M&Ms 'Plain' being changed to 'Milk Chocolate'. Smiley

I like 'em. The fact that I can get a used copy of the album for pretty cheap off of amazon.com makes me think that they'll be in my next round of CD buying, whenever that will be.

if you like em, check out denison marrs (same frontman) , if yall havent listened to them.  i really love the albums dension marrs and especially then is the new now. 
i also ordered an older one a long time ago (35000 miles  ... something.)  i didnt like it much at all.

I tend to forget about bands when I haven't bought their CDs immediately, so thanks for reminding me. I think I might go through this board when I get the time and compile a master 'want to buy' list. Smiley
