okay, i have good news.  i was praying with his brother tonight and we felt God moving and he changed his mind about his position on life support.  another friend of mine is gonna meet up with him at 8 or 8:30 am Eastern Time (NYC timezone) and pray, hopefully over my friend in a coma, too.  there's a meeting at 9am for when they may take him off support and then if they do, it'll be at 10am.

PLEASE PRAY

I had a situation like this with my aunt. She was in a mental hospital and got pneumonia. So my relatives or "the family," as I call them, decided to take her off life support. It was pretty disappointing to me because there wasn't any reason why they needed to do that. They just wanted to feel better themselves.

As I look back on it I understand the different positions on taking people off life support. But I think the tendency these days to think that pulling the plug is more humane. Not to say that I know anything about your friend's situation. I just wish people would default to the decision that we're not going to give up so quickly.
