But the Obama'08 images and 'An Inconvenient Truth' friend as well as Hillary Clinton friend, all threw me off.

I wasn't going to mention that, but yes, that's why I probably won't be buying any of their albums.

I love the songs "Breakfast at Ikea" and "San Francisco in the 90's" [sic]; I was listening to just "Breakfast at Ikea" on repeat the other night. That release is somewhere on my "to buy" list.

MAP's a great band! If some of you guys don't know, this is Josh Dooley's band, the lead guitarist for SF59. My favorite album personally is Secrets by the Highway, "Strange Girl" "Lay Down the Law" "Everything is bad for you"
I was lucky enough to snag a bunch of free downloads over MySpace a while ago. They seem to rotate them regularly.

MAP is Josh Dooley's band and is the one who is into all of the political stuff that is all over MAP's myspace. He also played guitar on "My Island" and is in the current Starflyer 59 lineup. So maybe you would not want to buy anymore of Starflyer's music as long as he is in the band? I don't get what the problem is with someone expressing their political beliefs. MAP is an excellent band and Josh Dooley is a very nice guy. What's the deal?

Dooley is seriously a great guy. Great guitar player too. If you don't have San Fransisco in the 90s, you're really missing out.

I don't mind them expressing their beliefs, but that doesn't mean I have to support them. Don't let my political opinions get in your way, though.

Erm...wait, what? Maybe I just misunderstand you, but even though Josh probably played some leads, I think Jason's still considered the lead guitarist.

The lead guitar at a live SF59 show is played by Dooley, while Jason does rhythm. It's been that way for a while.
You can tell from the sound, though, that Jason is still the brainchild of the guitar work for Starflyer.

Just ordered 'San Fransisco in the 90s' and 'Think Like An Owner'.
Immediately loved their sound when I listened to those songs on myspace and on velvet blue music.
I won't get into the political discussion. He probably could support a lot worse things... Josh Dooley seems to be a good man with good intentions.

I just got Secrets by the Highway. The songs are great, and Dooley's got Frank Lenz and Richard Swift backing him.
