The lead guitar at a live SF59 show is played by Dooley, while Jason does rhythm. It's been that way for a while.

Thanks for the correction, by the way.

Other Josh Dooley projects

Right off the top of my head, I can think of 2.

Dooley played guitar with Fine China on "Jaws of Life" and "You Make Me Hate Music." Incidentally, YMMHM was produced by Jason Martin. Their previous album on T&N, "When the World Sings" was produced by Ronnie. (Previous albums and eps from Fine China were released on VBM and I think they have Ronnie's involvement as well)

Dooley does some guitar licks on Calico Sunset's previous albums, including the full-length "Blue Balloon."

I don't have time right now to link to Myspace for those, but it shouldn't be hard to find.

I own all Map cd's...very underrated as a band.

I have emailed Josh a few times and he seems like a genuinely nice guy.

I recall getting a myspace message from him last year encouraging all the So. Cal voters to support a proposition that would allow underage females to get abortions without parent notification.  I could not help myself but to respond with my strong disagreement with him in his support but he is free to believe what he wants and express them how he wants.

I don't buy music simply because the artist may agree with my religious/political views.  I buy music first and foremost if it sounds good.  And Map sounds good....

I love MAP's music. I also don't agree with him politically and that threw me off at first but the music came through well enough that I still listen to them and buy their CDs! Smiley And I do think there are other worse people he could support but that's a different thread!

I thought YMMHM was produced by Terry Taylor.

I really like Map's last few releases. Great stuff.
