Does your girlfriend/wife enjoy Starflyer? What's her take on the band?

My wife LOVES Starflyer.  As I mentioned elsewhere, we walked down the aisle at our wedding to Fell in Love at 22.

My wife loves starflyer for sure. I am glad we have got to enjoy all the music of many bands together and in some cases discovering them together also!

All I can say is if I ever have a girlfriend, or a wife, I hope she likes Starflyer 59. And Joy Electric. That would be nice.

my wife likes some joy electric songs, like Disco for a Ride, but she doesn't care about SF59. however, she liked a version for She's the Queen made by my band in a gig in august 2006.

My wife thinks Jason can't sing.  She's not a huge fan.

But she does like U2, The Violet Burning, The Choir, and Sixpence.  So we have common ground there.

My wife thinks Jason can't sing.

That's nothing. You should hear him play piano.

if it weren't for starflyer and jeff cloud, i would have never met my wife.  we met on the vbm discussion list.  in fact, my wife is so cool that she saw them when silver came out.  they played a show in dayton with some family friends in a band called morella's forest (who actually played at her high school graduation party).

My wife enjoyed Joy Electric, and I *think* she likes SF59. She's never told me to 'turn that crap off', so that's a good sign. We generally like all of each other's stuff.

My wife was a JoyE fan and she has liked the SF59 christmas tunes. I don't think she has listened to much else. She hates Bon Voyage though.

I like Jason's voice, but I know the songs sound completely different live. I would like to see a Bon Voyage show.

My spouse liking starflyer was one of those "requirements."

She met that requirement and many more ...

There was a time when I thought music should be criteria for dating. But these days I think it's less important as long as significant others can be civil about favorite bands. It's like some women can be so critical about singing. It's like they've been watching too much American Idol or something.

My wife shares almost zero of my taste in music.  It's to the point that I can't even encourage her to listen to something I think is good....she immediately assumes she'll not like it  Cry  In fact, the only band I can even think of us both enjoying after I forced it upon her is Lucky Soul (www.myspace.com/luckysoulluckysoul - which everyone who hasn't heard should check out...think a more 1950/60's Bon Voyage)

Luckily, we have plenty of other things that make us happy including a 1 month old son whom I will certainly ensure loves Starflyer 59 Smiley

....we just relegate our music listening to times when we're not actively doing something together.
