Now to lead the country, is either a pastor by the name of Huckabee, or the others. On the republican side that is. Eh. Having a real christian president is good and all but.. this is politics.. What do you guys think?

Thompson didn't have the fire to win. He was never able to live up to his character on Law & Order.
On the Republican side it's a three horse race between McCain, the Mormon and the Southern Baptist. I don't particularly like McCain because he flip flops on the issues all the time and the media loves him. When the media loves you it means there is something wrong. Romney has conservative values from what I'm told, but he seems to say whatever people want to hear. Huckabee is a great guy, but I don't know that he can win. He needed South Carolina and he didn't get it.
I am cheering for Hillary Clinton because I know there are enough people who despise her to defeat her in the general election. Like Hillary, Barack Hussein Obama is a liberal and worse yet a socialist. I don't understand how people are duped into thinking he could actually be someone who can lead our country. Any time Oprah endorses you, it's a sure sign that you can throw all credibility right out the window.

that's who i'm looking at I dont know... Ron Paul doesn't believe in evolution, which is basically a fact right about now. The theory of evolution have been proven and is sorta logical if you think about it, ape-to-man evolution theory however is NOT combined into the theory of evolution! Not to mention that Darwin himself didn't believe in the theory of ape-to-man evolution. I woulden't want someone running the country when he doesn't even know that. Then again, I don't think anyone running for president actually knows that. This is just the worst presidential election yet, just watch, whoever wins, we will hate them already, starting this same year.

Really, Hillary. I mean, really? Well, Thompson was running third ALWAYS, which is pretty solid I think. Not that it matters who has more votes... or is a better actor for that matter... If you want someone to be president, vote for them, that is all. Now that someone who would surely do whatever it takes to pretect us is gone, I'm turning 18 in a week, and it doesn't look like I have anyone to vote for.

You need to watch Ben Stein's new movie Expelled.
It's not even out yet. Either way, what I said above was poorly put by me. To rephrase: The theory of evolution is THE theory of evolution. There are then theories under that theory, one being that "humans evolved from apes that evolved from fish that evolved from bacteria". The theory of evolution can be seen with our own eyes, and makes sense with the logic of "if this, then that will change". It is a fact that all races of humans evolved to what they are now because of their lifestyles - asians, blacks, and so forth. So the theory of evolution is pretty solid. However the theories made furthermore are theories and just that. Sure you can say "well what if God made humans different, asians, blacks, and so forth?". And of course both theories can be true, depending on how you look at it.

Don't be surprised though if some people get really offended or threaten to boycott it.

Well from the trailer, it seems to be going against the theory of evolution in a lot of aspects that Darwin never thought of. It'll definitely be interesting and controversial.. I just hope it won't come to untimate conclusions and ruin itself.

Sure you can, you can reason with them, and if they play fair and you are right, they should change their mind (though I've sadly only seen this a few times myself). Blog - Again, like most, you talk about it as if the theory of evolution is about animals jumping ships to become something else. But here's the biggest wall (I think) for the theory of humans evolving form apes, the so called 'observer' in humans. Why is it humans question their destiny and what they are and so forth? All animals on earth live to live, and die. We however, humans, we observe and choose our lives, we are aware of our own existence and question our soul. (the most popular theory that also goes by the bible is that it is our soul, as if our body is just being used by our soul) And that can't ever possibly be disproven, therefor the humans-from-apes theory cannot ever be a fact, unless the world is confused into thinking it is.

Evolution is one of those hot-button issues that makes me wish I could change people's minds. But what I need to remember is the freedom that God allows for everyone to believe what they want to believe. So just as I do not wish to be persecuted because I don't believe in something, I'm not going to persecute someone because he/she disagrees with my position. It's what I like to call tolerance.

Right. But there is such thing as understanding something and therefore changing your opinion on the matter.
That's where freedom of speech comes in.
Everything you say is your opinion, just as what I say is my opinion. When it comes to for example "what color is an orange (fruit)" then with the information I know, I really would want people to stop saying "red" and say "orange" instead. More and more I realize that humans ultimately just want the truth. If truth is our power, then that is why we have confusion before we get to the truth. Freedom of speech isn't about "what is your favorite color", but about being able to present your own theory on whatever.

I don't think most people are as interested in truth as they are in being right all the time.
