He played keyboard on Old, and Can't Stop Eating EP. And maybe the Portuguese Blues vinyl single, I'm not sure?
Anyway, he did solo music both before and after Starflyer and everything I've heard yet is pretty awesome. Apparently he has a killer live show, too.

Swift's discography, as best I can reconstruct:
With Metro1 Records, under the stage name Dichey Ochoa: Dickey Ochoa Company Company2
Under his own name: Walking Without Effort (unreleased) The Novelist vinyl (Velvet Blue Music) You're Lying vinyl (VBM) Buildings in America vinyl (VBM) Nothing to Do with Foxy Boxing vinyl (VBM) PS It All Falls Down vinyl (VBM) The Richard Swift Collection, Volume 1: The Novelist & Walking Without Effort (Secretly Canadian) Beautifulheart vinyl (Polydor, UK only) Dressed Up for the Letdown (SC & Polydor) Kisses for the Misses vinyl
The only one of these that I own is The Richard Swift Collection, and it excellent. The Novelist is a slightly fictionalized story of the nervous breakdown that Swift had while he was working in CCM, filtered through a bizarro version of 1930's pop and jazz. It's about 25 minutes, with nary a wasted second. Walking Without Effort is a very groovy, laid-back pop record, all love songs and worship songs.
As for Frank Lenz, I don't know much about his solo career. He does play drums on just about everything Swift put out until 2005, and he wrote horn arrangements for Walking Without Effort.

Some news from today's Secretly Canadian newsletter: RICHARD SWIFT, who has been busily touring the UK this summer supporting his recent release "Dressed Up For the Letdown", made a stop on May 25th at the prestigious BBC program "Later... with Jools Holland." Wilco - who also happened to be taping a session - was so taken with his performance that they invited him to tour with them in the US and Canada starting in August. Here are the dates: 08/14/07 Duluth, MN - Bayfront Festival Park 08/15/07 Winnipeg, MB - Burton Cummings Theatre 08/17/07 Calgary, Alberta - Southern Albert Jubilee Auditorium 08/18/07 Edmonton, Alberta - Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium 08/21/07 Redmond, WA - Marymoor Amphitheatre 08/22/07 Troutdale, OR - Edgefield 08/24/07 Berkeley, CA - Greek Theatre 08/27/07 San Diego, CA - SDSU Open Air Theatre 08/29/07 Los Angeles, CA - Greek Theatre 09/01/07 Denver, CO - Fillmore Auditorium 09/02/07 Denver, CO - Fillmore Auditorium In other news, Swift is putting the finishing touches on the debut release by his kraut-y, electronic side project called INSTRUMENTS OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY. The project has been called a "stark and stunning picture of his artistic depth and studio wizardry... a perfect ambient, electronica recording," by Black and White Mag. See Richard Swift's performance of "Kisses For the Misses" on "The Album Chart Show" here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Qmkl4ooQbms

That is a good video. I was under the impression, however, that Swift played the keyboard primarily. I like how he turns his back to the audience for most of the guitar solo.

That's really cool about touring with Wilco. If only he could play a show on the east coast. Sigh. In other news, Swift is putting the finishing touches on the debut release by his kraut-y, electronic side project called INSTRUMENTS OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY. The project has been called a "stark and stunning picture of his artistic depth and studio wizardry... a perfect ambient, electronica recording," by Black and White Mag. WHAT. THE. HECK. Instruments of Science and Technology has already been released. You can buy it off the iTunes music store right now. I guess this is more Swift revisionist history. Probably more SC and Polydor's fault than Swift's.

Swift put two unreleased tracks to download on his myspace. They're different.

Swift is so amazing
I had tickets to go see him this year with Cold War Kids But he cancelled and I just ended up not going to the show at all.
I have all his records from the solo stuff but I would just love to hear the stuff from when he was playing as "Dichey Ochoa"
What does it sound like? where can I listen to it. Anyone care to help me out?
