I wish I knew. The VBM board people would be a good bet -- that's the only place I've gotten straight answers about that early Swift stuff. (Swift seems to be pretending his pre-Walking material never happened, but I suppose it could be label crap. Like how his current deal with with Secretly Canadian and Polydor won't let him put out 7" singles on Velvet Blue anymore.)

Well, you can hang with both of us. Smiley The VB board seems interesting, but between visiting all my blogging friends, writing on my own blog, and maintaining two forums, I'm too busy for more! Smiley

That explains why I haven't seen you at my forum for way too long now. Tongue
Busy or not, forums are fun if the people are. Smiley And I check this place way too many times a day. Tongue

You used to still be able to buy Ochoa stuff at Metro One but not sure if you still can or not. You can hear some samples if you search for him under listen to samples of on ask.com or something but it is not very good in my opinion and for sure not like what he does now.

Its very CCMish but its good CCM. I got mine from Metro 1 for about $3 last a year or two ago. It looks like Metro 1 is now just a Crystal Lewis shrine so here ya go.

Aw heck yeah! Thanks very much!

Yeah, Crystal Lewis...sheesh. I found her Christmas CD while I was cleaning up my CD shelf today and popped it in. Lasted through the first song and that was about it. Can't stand her.

Oh man, thanks a lot monkeypants.

EDIT: Now that I've listened to it, I think I can understand why Swift is pretending this never happened. It's good, but it's so different from his Richard Swift material that Dicky Ochoa might as well be a different person.

Probably good that he released it under another name, then. Smiley

I finally got Dressed Up for the Letdown. (Welcome to last February, Meta, sheesh.) Great stuff.

For those who care, Swift cusses on this CD.

Yeah, I think I caught a word on one of the tracks on his Myspace, and he says the f-word on one of his live videos. As long as my kids don't pick it up, I don't really care.

It seems the two new tracks on Myspace are from Swift's next double-EP, Richard Swift as Onasis due out this April.

A higher-quality version of the Beautifulheart video: Behold. Or behold.

Also, a higher-quality version of the Kisses for the Misses video: here.

Also, four stripped-down live-in-the-studio tracks.

(It appears I should have paid better attention to Swift's profile page on Secretly Canadian.)

Jeff Cloud is selling Richard Swift's "4 Demos" EP for $5, plus shipping. (Normally, this is only available when you order the vinyl version of The Richard Swift Collection, Vol 1, which costs $20.99.)

The demos in question are "Losing Sleep", "Beautifulheart", "The Novelist", and "Sadsong St." They're very stripped-down, just Swift's voice and guitar or piano (and crickets).
