A man of so few words. There's a cool Starflyer MP3 on there that I haven't heard before.

Don't Know what that song is, but sounds great.  Ripped it to keep a copy of it just in case it ends up not being released Smiley

Thanks for ripping that, dude.

Do I hear a banjo in that song?

What's ironic is that at $300 a day for recording Jason will probably make more money recording bands than selling records.

I booked a couple shows back in the day. For bringing in a band like Starflyer the guarantee would usually be about $300. The trouble is trying to get enough people to come to meet the guarantee. As a headliner Starflyer was not a big draw, so to guarantee $300 is to make a losing gamble. With the cost of gas these days I have no idea how bands can make any money touring.

I do have to admit that Jason did a good job on the One Wolf stuff.

CDs are going to be obsolete soon, so I'm hoping all the future Starflyer albums aren't all exclusively MP4 or on vinyl. I think Jason will continue to make records as long as he enjoys what he's doing. I suspect at some point he may release an album and not tour at all.

Does the name "Magic Words" ring a bell to anyone? I seem to remember hearing it mentioned once, as a new song, but I might be thinking of another band.

I thought Jason was saying

Quote
Sometimes the magic works
sometimes it don't
sometimes you're always sinking
sometimes you float

...I suspect "John" is the late John R. Martin. "But you're not gonna speak to me anymore."

Well that makes more sense.

I'm probably thinking of the other band.
