i think mortal were on alarma, named for the alarma chronicles by daniel amos, that my island was partially inspired by.

fluffy, and breakfast with amy (same guy, eng chris colbert)

dietiphobia, i kind of knew wally, heard from him a few months back.. not doing dietiphobia now..

Oh, I thought you meant My Island was inspired lyrically or at least thematically by Daniel Amos. I do hear how Jason would be influenced by them, however, just by the one album I have: relatively simple but pleasing chord changes, with memorable melodies.

I saw Breakfast w/Amy, LSU, and Upside Down Room, around 1991 (LA).  Mike Knott electrocuted himself during the first song and was unable to finish the show.  I did catch a Blonde Vinyl tee shirt that was thrown into the crowd though!

I don't really hear the DA influence in SF59, but I'm no expert in DA music, not really a fan.
