I just got her album The Golden Planes today. I'm currently on my third listen-through and I'm really liking it.

I haven't been so head-over-heels in love with a new (to me) artist since Richard Swift. If you haven't already clicked on the link in my first post, do it. Now.

Gileah reminds me a bit of Norah Jones, only a million times better.

Richard Swift is amazing, I agree. I have him wish-listed on amazon.com, just waiting for the day...

Gileah and the Ghost Train is so good it's scary.

Too early to say if it's better than The Golden Planes.

So, while I was away from the internet for a few weeks, Gileah put out a double EP. A Crooked Line / What Kind of Fool. Seems to be a download-only release. I'd much rather a physical copy.

I got Golden Planes a few months ago with one of velvet blue's "surprise packs", or whatever they were when cloud did the garage sales. Its very beautiful, somewhat sparse yet seemingly lush, but never overdone. My favorite songs are probably "Medicine", "Comfortable", "C'mon C'mon" and "Be the One". Good stuff.
