Tooth and Nail recently began uploading older videos as YouTube has moved to high quality. A couple of the Starflyer videos were uploaded as well as Joy Electric's "Children of the Lord".

Thanks for the heads-up!

Here is the link! http://www.youtube.com/user/toothandnail

Looks like "A Housewife Love Song" and "No New Kinda Story" were up, but the latter is now missing. Undecided

The link to view the high-quality version is below the video.

It's better than the usual youtube quality, but still not as good as a nice quicktime file.

And here is the T&N upload of No New Kinda Story:

I think a three minute video with "high quality" comes in at about 15-20 MB. From what I can tell the videos are about 480x320 or something similar. The YouTube box is 320x240, so the size will be slightly better. YouTube is allowing people to post videos up to 1 GB. However, most people are just going to watch it as a small video, so there is little point to uploading a 1 GB file (I can only imagine how long that would take). My rule is I'm not going to upload more than 30 MB.

Vimeo.com is a cool site that lets you upload higher quality video and even HD. However, the uploads do take a longer amount of time.

I have noticed that if you put a YouTube video on DVD that it just pixelates like crazy because the aspect ratio of the original video is low. However, the VHS footage doesn't look much different when you convert it to VOB.

The "No New Kinda Story" video was actually kinda good. Which is surprising for a Martin Brother (no offense to them, or their fanboys).

The "A Housewife Love Song" video is also wonderful.

All Starflyer videos are of high quality. Except for I Win. That one sucks A.

The production of "I Win" was top-notch. It just wasn't enough of a concept to hang a whole music video on.
