I think you are going to have to block the IP address "85.12.24.17" - that is the main one doing the spamming (and still doing it today). I think you can also protect the front page to only be edited by registered accounts - that would at least slow down some spammers, like this one.
Good call. I'm not sure why we didn't have it protected in the first place. Also, I just now unblocked a user who appears legit--he made one legit edit, fixing "Trey Meny" to "Trey Many," and the username is "Sf5987" which also looks rather legitimate, if you ask me.  We didn't have it protected because I can't figure out the dumb software.  Did you block that IP address? |

EMM is also gone! The history file says "FairuseBot (Removing image with inadequate rationale)" for both of those - sounds stupid and creepy both at the same time. So a giant blue square violated copyright, huh? Whatever. That nice "undo" link fixed that stupid FairuseBot.... |

Lock it all down!  Glad someone locked down the front page; that should teach the spambots a lesson. FairUseBot? Sounds like something that crawls around and randomly deletes pages. |

I don't know, I think I'm just going to save the current coding for the main STarflyer 59 Wikipedia page as a document on my computer, so that I can just put it up if it gets deleted. I don't think it should be locked to members of Wikipedia, and especially since the people at T&N will want to fix it up sometime or other (or Jason's kids). |
