It's one of those stories that's really really good, but after you're done it's like "I never want to read that again". At least that's how it was for me.
Anyway, in addition to The Brothers Karamazov, I'm working through the complete short stories of Flannery O'Connor and The Reason for God by Tim Keller.

Well... with all the foreshadowing and stuff I kind of thought the opposite, but I can see how one would arrive at your feeling, too. |

Well... with all the foreshadowing and stuff I kind of thought the opposite, but I can see how one would arrive at your feeling, too. It is without a doubt one of the best comicbooks ever written -- probably the best superhero comicbook, period -- and I'm sure multiple readings would reveal more layers, but it's in the service of a very ugly worldview. |

Also guys, the Watchman comic is amazingly good--it has a movie coming out soon but the book itself has been praised so much I had to check it out. And it's really that good.
I so want to read that. right now my list is: Haruki Murakami - After Dark, Kafka on the ShoreGeorge RR Martin - A Song of Fire and Ice series CS Lewis - everything. Ernest Hemingway - The Sun Also Rises, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and I love his short stories especially "A Clean Well-Lighted Place". Ursula LeGuin - The Earthsea QuartetI love fantasy and drama most, of a certain type. |

It took me long enough, but I finished Wise Blood by Flannery O'Connor. Utterly bizarre, but hilarious once you get into the right mindset.
Current status of The Brothers Karamazov: about halfway through.
