According to Invisible Creature the artwork for the CD version of Dial M lists the title of track 2 as "God Forbid". Same as the name of the demo version from Ghosts of the Future.

However, the vinyl version of Dial M, and the mp3 versions available from iTunes and Amazon, list the title of this song as "The Brightest of the Head".

So, those of you who have the CD version of this: what is the song name listed as? Is the version of the artwork posted on Invisible Creature correct?

P.S. Some further title confusion: iTunes spells the bonus track as "Magic". Burnt Toast spells it "Majic". I'm going to ask Jason about this.

"The Brightest of the Head", so, no, the artwork on the site isn't correct.

I liked "God Forbid" better as the title.

I agree.  He also changed the lyrics in the song from "heads" to "head", which doesn't really make a whole lot of sense.

"God Forbid" was a better title imo too.  This is just total conjecture but...I feel like maybe he changed it because the original title might have been viewed as vaguely vulgar for a Christian artist.  I dunno.

At least the song is great though.  I didn't like it originally, but I love it now.

"The Brightest of the Head" sounds a lot more mainstream. Grin

Also, Jason isn't the first person to use "God Forbid" as a song title. We wouldn't want anyone confusing Starflyer 59 with Point of Grace.

I don't think there's much a chance of getting crap confused with SF59. What I'm wondering is what kind of asshat knows about POG songs?

People whose family members have questionable taste.

And I prefer the term anushat, thank you very much.
