It was a good interview, especially since he gave longer answers. The secret is to ask questions that can't be answered with one liners.

Also, stuff that lets him talk about people besides himself.

I hope Jason doesn't feel too "old" to play a few more shows.  Seeing them live has always been a life goal of mine.

Somehow I doubt you'll get to see him live. If anything you might catch him with Trey, but that would probably be about it. He's probably not going out on the road again and playing shows is harder with his family and job. And I think he's completely fine with just having the band on the side as something he can work on at home. Honestly, he would probably make more money recording bands than playing shows.

I have always wanted to see him again too. I saw him live once back in '98 in a small church's attic room. It was a cool concert. After that, I never had the chance again.

I agree it can be a cool show. However, Starflyer usually at max plays 10 songs and plays for about 30 minutes. Also in the last 5 years it's just Jason and Trey. I'm not saying I don't enjoy seeing him, but it's nearly as exciting as seeing him with Cloud and co. or with Wayne Everett.

The early shows in Jason's career were exciting because he played with a lot of distortion and delay and the songs were heavier. In my opinion, everything after Cloud left the band is a less than stellar performance.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube from all different periods of Starflyer's existence, so it's not like you can't see his performances any time you want. I have video from the 2008 show at the U of I if you guys want to see it you can PM me and maybe I can get you out a disc or I'll post something online. Jason requested no YouTube because he doesn't like to see himself on camera.
