No, I'm not a prophet, nor am I a harbinger of bad news. I'm just speculating.

I've seen many good bands/groups projects go for 3-7 years.
I've seen many great bands/groups go for 10 years or more. (SF59 fits here in this category)
I've seen many amazing bands/groups go for 20 years or more.
Then there are the legends who go for many decades.

In many ways, I feel SF59 is just getting started!!!!!

I think SF59 will be around as long as Jason's around, which hopefully will be for a very, very long time to come.

Ouch.

That's what happened to Starflyer 2000.

As for Sf59, I think I remember an interview where Jason said that he would quit if he ever wrote the perfect pop record.

In that case, Starflyer 59's albums suck! Smiley

In an interview we've got somewhere around here he speculated to that effect. Something like, "Maybe I should have quit after The Fashion Focus."

If he said that, then he's wrong, and so is anyone else. If I had to choose between TFF or Gold and My Island, for example, I'd be hard-pressed not to choose the latter.

Fashion Focus was yummy.

But I woulden't say it's a perfect album, let alone a perfect pop album.

Only perfect album I've heard was 'Enter The Gate' by 'Narnia'. 80's rock/metal.
