Surrogate surprised me. Yeah, it was one of T&N's under-the-radar albums (anybody remember Discover America?), but from what I have heard they deserve alot more attention when compared to, say, Underoath or The Fold*.

Music does sound good but for some reason I just can't get past people using "swear" words all the time and talking about drinking; not that I think either is "really wrong" it just bothers me....to me it makes them seem ignorant or something...

The guys in the Fold are personal friends of mine. So let's not be nasty.

What "swear words" do they use?

In their blogs but not that I heard in their music. Like I said I like the music and words and all but wish they didn't talk like that so much...well not that it is a lot just what they use and what they talk about sounds childish or something....just not my cup of tea....

Nothing personal. Just their music really rubs me the wrong way. Secrets Keep You Sick was, in my opinion, not a good record.

That's the thing though even if you can't stand Limp Bizkit--you still wouldn't tell Fred to his face that his band sucks. Even bands that aren't up to par still have a lot of time and energy invested in their music. It's one of the things I dislike about reviewing albums in the past--the idea that I would have to write something critical of a band that other people hold in high regard. As much as I don't like politicians and pop stars, I wouldn't say they would make me forfeit my lunch.

Trust me. If I were to somehow meet the boys of the band, by no means would I give my honest opinion. In fact I'm at a loss as to what I would say.

Although if happened to bump into Mr. Durst, however, I would not hesistate. 'Course, he'd probably beat me to a pulp.

Well, it's obviously a side project and not directly related to the band, which is what I thought the Starflyer forum was for.
