Secrets by the Highway is the only one I have, but it's excellent.

Oh my. Secrets by the Highway. Think Like an Owner. Eastern Skies, Western Eyes (EP). Teaching Turtles to Fly (EP). The two full-lengths are two different styles, but awesome. And the EPs are of a different style than both the full-lengths. But beautiful.
Their newest will be available on August 25th. It is mostly instrumental, but still amazing as always, I imagine.
*sigh*
Edit: I just noticed you asked for only one recommendation. So for me it would have to be either Secrets by the Highway or Think Like an Owner. But I am not sure which. They both mean dearly to me. I guess if I had to pick one I would go with Secrets by the Highway, but for reasons of nostalgia only. It is difficult to pass up Think Like an Owner when it has glorious songs like "Silhouettes" and "Familiar Skin".

Personally, I really had to get San Francisco in the 90's after hearing "Breakfast at Ikea" and listening to it over and over and over and over... but I didn't for a few years. :X
New album will be mostly instrumental? Rock. Dooley does some great instrumentals.
Hey, I have a question. On Regrets, Silhouettes, and Distractions--the track order for Teaching Turtles to Fly was reversed, wasn't it? Any idea why? How about Eastern Skies, Western Eyes?

As far as I remember that was just a mistake. Dooley mentioned it once on the VBM bored.

The flow of those tracks is way better when correct. Amazing, really.

That's the last track from San Francisco in the 90's, but it's an EP, to be specific.

The album title just made sense to me. I'm really going to like this record.

Spinnin' this today. Really liking it. I am glad to hear that he took "Ding Duck Day" and not only gave it a better title, but also a nicer sound. It's pretty much a whole new song.

Got it today. I knew from the start it was probably going to be a grower. There are a couple of tracks I really like ("Killing People on the Television" is the stand-out right now), but others range to be dreadfully boring. I guess that's the risk you take in putting out an instrumental record, which I am typically a fan of. Not my favorite release of Dooley's so far, but I hope it grows on me more.

Check it out, J Dooley put up the songs from his old band Nova Satori as a free download: here.
