If any of you aren't quite sold on Joy Electric yet, go out and buy the latest album The Otherly Opus. If this album does not make you a fan, then probably nothing else will.

I just got Otherly Opus the otherly day, and it is incredible. I love the progress that Ronnie makes between each album, which is really aparent on this album. I was already a fan,but this may have revitalized my JE obsession.

Overall I was disappointed, mainly because one of Ronnie's journal entries on the JE website had me expecting the new album to be The White Songbook 2: Joy Electric Boogaloo.

Also, because the shouting and call-and-response from "Red Will Dye These Snows of Silver" were woefully underused.

Just got my copy of The Otherly Opus yesterday. Fantastic album! It's my favorite one I've purchased so far (never mind that it's the only one that I actually own). Grin Actually, it is very good. Favorite tracks as of now are 'The Memory of Alpha' and 'Red Will Dye These Snows Of Silver'

i dig what ive heard cause ronnie finally has gone all out in his HUMAN LEAGUE mannerisms. Red Dye... sounds like a total track from mid period l;eague (84). the little "wooo" in the middle of the verse is totally phillip oakey. i heard he even opened up for them recently. i like this later JE stuff more than the early stuff, but thats me. i also love the human league

I'm working my way backwards through JE: I got TOO first and now The White Songbook. I think TOO is a great introduction to JE, IMO; thanks for suggesting it, Jono.

"Colours in Dutch" is a major re-peater for me.

Once again, Ronnie knocks my socks off.

I don't understand the lyrics to 'Dutch' or 'Timber Colony' at all...matter of fact, most of the second half of the album makes absolutely no sense to me lyric-wise, but I absolutely love them.
