Should be available within a month or two. Hopefully not too close to 'changing of the guard'. Gotta spread that love!

I'll say that i'm excited about the all the up coming vinyl releases. Gold , Old and Changing of the guard. Also a quick question for all the vinyl folks. I'm moving next friday to another state. about a 7 hour drive. any suggestions for transporting my vinyl?

When I moved a while ago I kept my most cherished vinyl in the air conditioned car with me under a piece of cardboard to keep direct sunlight off.  The other stuff I just threw in the back of the U-Haul.

I packed all of my vinyl in mailers. I could fit about 5 in each mailer. Then I packed a small uhaul box with the mailers. That held about 15 mailers. Therefore, I could move around 75 per box and they were well protected.

Thanks! I think I'm going to do a combo of both. We are talking about the drop, emm, ff, ghosts, and some other good stuff like the lassie foundation 7 inch.

Wow.  Sounds like the Fort Knox of packaging.

I think one of the cases at the bottom of this page would be excellent.

That'd be okay, but I'd personally like to hear the entirety of I am the Portuguese Blues as an LP... I think I'd listen to it more if I had it in that form.

if IATPB was available on vinyl, i would get it. But i'd WAY rather see My Island. "I Win" is such a great song. There are many great songs on the record.

Here's the million dollar question...

Why are picture discs never packaged in a real cardboard sleeve? I mean, I realize it's cool to have a pretty picture on the vinyl.... But why sacrifice the actual album sleeve for it? Why not have best of both worlds... Picture disc in a cardboard sleeve with lyric slip?

it would probably cost a million dollars to create clear cardboard sleeves.  Tongue

Yeah, you can't look at the picture disc while it is spinning. That is what I love about the jackets - nice big artwork to stare at while enjoying the music.
