The Boulevard is still a f%*!ing amazing song. Actually I think Americana could be one of if not the greatest Starflyer album.

I find it difficult to argue with anything you just said.  It was my first SF59 album and remains one of my favorite albums of theirs.

Also, this is the perfect time of year to break it back out......just may do so myself.

"You Don't Miss Me" sounds just like a Bon Voyage song.

I came across an intersting B/V video on YouTube:

I'm rooting for a Starflyer cover album.

Jason sings so high on that one, I can imagine Julie singing it instead.

my first sf59 album was gold which i listened to for 2 weeks straight.  i then got silver but the real blessing was when i received americana in the mail.  i may argue this being the best album by theirs too.

Play the Americana vinyl at 45rpm and it sounds like Julie sings the whole thing.

I was rather disappointed by Americana when I first got it.  The only songs I really liked were Help Me When You're Gone and Everyone But Me.  Most of the rest of the songs didn't capture my attention so well.  After seeing this thread I listened to the album again, and I think I can appreciate it a bit more, but it's still far from a favorite.

As I've matured my appreciation for Americana has grown.  I like Gold so much Americana was kind of a disappointment.  Funny story though - it came out when I was in high school and I encouraged my youth group leader at church to play that album as an example of good Christian music that was an alternative to secular stuff.  This was of course the heyday of DC Talk and Audio Adrenaline and Third Day.  Needless to say - he didn't get SF59 at all!
