MP3 Playas

We have an ancient iPod. It works only when the moon is in its last quarter and the wind is coming from the southeast.

Obviously a new ipod is the standard. But I'm not one to jump on the bandwagon. Anyone got any recommendations for an alternative?

I love my zune, but it is a zune 120 not a Zune Touch, which I hear are okay, but not great.  However, my brother has an ipod touch and it is a modern marvel.

furthermore, my next mp3 player is going to be a going to run on google android.  I don't care much for apple products due to the high price and the arrogance of the advertising and the ridiculous "cool" of ipod owners.

Toshiba Gigabeat is nice. I have the S30.

Of course the new iPods have more features now..

I have a Zune HD 16gig. Its awesome. I does everything I have needed it to do except play videos via web (like youtube). The Apps are not that great and there are not that manny. I one thing that it has over the Ipod touch is it has HD radio! Which is sweet!

I knowing ant what u wanna hear, but my next mp3 plays will be an iPod classic 160 (320, god willing, if they'll hurry up and invent it!) for mp3 players, to me they are made to play music. And to play music, I need robust storage. All the touch devices run on flash memory, and flash memory just isn't comparable in size to HDD memory as of now. So I'll have to take a pass on any touch devicEs until the memory gets to the tripe digits zone, which I have yet to see as of now.

For an mp3 player, I feel like the iPod classics can not be beat. Period. In quality, ease of use, and aesthetics. The only thing the zune has, that i covet is a surest up down left right action of the scroll wheel. It's very hard to hone in on a selection is stop and go traffic with the iPod scroll wheel. But whatever.
