So, another mewithoutYou album is out on May 15. It's entitled 'Ten Songs'.

I listened to one of the tracks, and it's excellent. Sounds more like 'Brother, Sister' than 'It's All Crazy, It's All False, It's All A Dream, It's Alright' (which I personally hated).

Discuss.

Yes! I have it on order from the local CD store. Totally excited! Cheesy

Yeah, I didn't like it either.

I didn't listen to both songs in their entirety, but February 1878 sounded great while East Enders Wives (I think that was the name?) sounded a bit boring. Still interested in hearing the finished product, and the new painting cover artwork is probably my favorite yet.

Just listened to the entire thing today.  It gets a Meh from me.  I think they hit there peek with Catch for us the Foxes and have never been able to or tried to hit that kind of passion.

Either way this song is really amazing.

Although Hayley Williams from Paramore?  I guess she doesn't do much so it's okay.

Yeah, I found all the colored variants to be completely ridiculous. I couldn't afford any of those when they were released, though I really would enjoy having the original trilogy of albums now. And again, the Vasily What's-his-name art looks superb on the 12" sleeves.

i think the album sounds like a mix between their early stuff and their last album (which i hated). its not a bad album; i think its gotta be enjoyed in its entirety though. there are parts that sound like they're gonna take off and rock but then they dont...i wish it was a little heavier but oh well.

it took me four stores in three states to track down a copy but i found one and i think ive listened to it maybe 20x so far. im glad to see danielson producing it and that they are not on T$N any longer.

i haven't really read into much of the words yet; is this a concept album?

Yeah, he produced the last one too.

According to this, "The album [is] more or less (let’s just say 'less') about a group of circus animals that survive a train crash in the Montana Winter of the late 1800′s. Its actually a lot more honest of a record than that sentence lets on."
